Rohm and Haas Detonation Arrestor

In partnership with Rohm & Haas Deer Park Plant, ENARDO proudly announces the installation of a new detonation arrestor technology. The Deer Park installation weighed in excess of 15,000 lbs., contained a 72" inch diameter flame element and 30" diameter flanges with support assembly believed to be the largest detonation arrestor unit ever installed. The detonation arrestor unit was constructed of a carbon steel housing with a complete stainless steel internal lining for corrosion protection, and contained a revolutionary internal cleaning system that allows for the cleaning of the element without removal. The flow capacity associated with this specialized Group "D" detonation arrestor far exceeds any flow capacity previously established in the detonation arrestor industry. The Rohm & Haas detonation arrestor was built in accordance with ASME Section VIII.

Several factors contributed to the success of the ENARDO & Rohm & Haas partnership. Among them are the custom design and testing of the detonation arrestor unit. ENARDO develops customized detonation and flame arrestor solutions through its in-house engineering design team and its state-of-the-art explosion and flow laboratory testing facilities.
